Francis (Frank) S. Zaborowski
Director of Competition Operations
CyberPatriot

Frank Zaborowski is the Director of Competition Operations for the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot – The National High School Cyber Defense Competition. He plans and conducts the CyberPatriot competition to further student interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Before joining CyberPatriot, Mr. Zaborowski retired as a Marine Corps Colonel, the Assistant Chief of Staff, G6 (Command, Control, Communications, and Computers), for the 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA. He has 30 years of experience in leadership positions in planning, management, and implementation of communications and information systems for the Marine Corps and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). At DISA he served in the Joint Interoperability and Engineering Office, where his team rolled out the Global Command and Control System and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet). During his military career, he also served as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Command, Control, Communications, and Computers for multiple organizations. He had responsibility for enterprise planning, project management, and the installation and operation of voice, video, data, radio, and satellite systems in the US and overseas. Additionally, he served as a network Certification and Accreditation Authority. He was a faculty member of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and a communications instructor at Landing Force Training Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, VA. Mr. Zaborowski has a B.S. in Education from Slippery Rock State College in Pennsylvania, a Master of Strategic Studies degree from the Marine Corps War College, and attended the Gartner Chief Information Officer Academy in San Jose, CA.
